Eco Cars You Can Lease
One of the advantages of leasing a car is benefiting from the many "Eco Models" of cars that have been recently released to the public, in response to higher road tax and escalating fuel costs. Often the savings in running costs of a new modern Eco car can outweigh buying an older car. We use the term "Eco Car" very generally here, so if the vehicle has low emissions and offers much higher fuel economy that similar cars around the same size, then we will label it as an economical car.
Makes and Models
Below are some makes that have given their "Eco" range a name to distinguish it from their normal range of vehicles..
Volkswagen: Blue Motion Range
Volkswagen have decided to badge their Eco cars as the "Blue Motion" range. These stem for the Bluemotion Polo, the Bluemotion Golf and the favourite executive car the Bluemotion Passat. Volkswagen have found away of reducing weight and increasing the fuel economy of what was already a good selling range
Ford: ECOnetic
Notice the capitals in ECOnetic, this is deliberate as Ford want to show theory contribution to manufacturing high fuel economy cars. The currently have 3 models in the ECOnetic range. The Fiesta ECOnetic, the Focus ECOnetic and the Modeo ECOnetic. The range of cars deliver fuel economy from 76.3mpg to 53.3 mpg respectively.
Seat: Ecomotive
Seat have got into the Eco production which should not be a surprise as they are owned by VW. THe Seat range is called the Ecomotive and consists of 3 cars in their range, the Ibiza Ecomotive, the Leon Ecomotive and the Alhambra Ecomotive The Ibiza Ecomotive has a CO2 level of just 98 g.km, which is pretty impressive.
Other Models
Some manufacturers believe that all their models should be good on fuel economy and although BMW can not claim to have the best CO" emissions of best fuel economy on total, their figures for their diesel engine cars are in many cases best in class within their normal range. This list os not finished and will be added to
