Its the second day of the new registration plate and I can’t helps seeing them everywhere. Of course some car buyers have been waiting some time to get hold of their new car, so don’t expect them to be in the garage. It is a busy time for car lease suppliers also, as many of their customers try to time any contract with the new registration. Business owners however sometime will not get their new lease cars until next month, when the new tax year arrives, to keep their returns as simple as possible.
Bearing in mind that some cars, especially Audis, Merc’s and BMW’s need ordering well before the delivery date, yesterday has been planned for months in some cases. Of course it is better than the days when only one registration date was allowed per year, normally in August. car retailers and car lease brokers would do a huge sum of their yearly business in one day a nightmare for many, having 2 registration days has spread out the pressure.
Still not sure what happens next year when the one’s reappear, obviously the rag 51 has gone.
