Leasebam has introduced a new menu system where we show manufactures logos rather than text links to help you find your way around easier. One of the many things we have planned for Leasebam.

Salvage Scheme Is Now Over
When the scrappage scheme started last year, there was a lot of negative press with many not believing that those with cars of 10 years old would be in the new car Market.
A year later the results speak for themselves, although
not a complete success, I doubt many would disagree that car sales were stimulated by it. It was the cheaper Asian made cars that benefitted most and the luxury market least, although this should not have been a surprise considering the 10 year exchange condition in return for the £2000 discount.
The car lease Market in theory should not have been affected, but used values held well and so monthly premiums were kept low, stimulating business lease although the lack of finance options sometimes spoilt the show. In short, a success but maybe not the huge success predicted.

Google Rules The World Even Car Lease
there was a time when to buy a service or and products you visited the business direct or picked up the picked up the phone. Now most people go to the internet first and search for what they require. So what has this got to do with car lease or Google.
Well Google does more than half of the searches in the world through their search engine and according to some sources 90% of searches here in the UK are done through Google. In short that means 90% of all car lease searches are also delivered via Google, so they really do rule the world of car lease. Of course Leasebam relies on these internet searches, so that you the consumer can find the right leasing deals.
Recently Google have started the process of rewriting their search engine form the bottom up, rather than the updates that have normally occurred. rebuilding the system means they can deliver even quicker searches and of course they are currently promoting that we the webmasters also do the same.
Whilst this update, rewrite or interim period (whatever we want to call it) is occurring, then there just is no certainty that any website will keep its rankings and be found on the internet. For some reason consumers are still using Leasebam, even though we see seem to be on a search engine roller coaster ride.

No Recession In Geneva
2009 saw a lap lustre Geneva Motor Show which in itself was a result as many motor shows throughput the world had been cancelled, as manufacturers pulled in their purse strings. This year has seen something of a spring in the step from manufacturers who now feel just that much confident in the future. This can be seen at the Geneva Motor show 2010, where you can clearly see the state of the industry in one place. One Key Point Indicator, is the lack of hotel rooms reported by Gavin Green in his Geneva report, which pretty much states that most people were there and looking to the future.
The show was not dominated by low cost Korean cars that have profited most from the scrappage scheme, with high price supercars through to the respected German manufacturers, telling us they have adapted to their customers needs, form styling down to fuel economy. In previous years, we may have seen the manufacturer telling us what we should have, but that is what happens in an economy where every sale counts towards survival, rather than nice to have higher profits.
The atmosphere was better than last year and that is just what the motor industry needs, positive people thinking positive, even if the financial situation is still with us.

The New Reg 10
Its the second day of the new registration plate and I can’t helps seeing them everywhere. Of course some car buyers have been waiting some time to get hold of their new car, so don’t expect them to be in the garage. It is a busy time for car lease suppliers also, as many of their customers try to time any contract with the new registration. Business owners however sometime will not get their new lease cars until next month, when the new tax year arrives, to keep their returns as simple as possible.
Bearing in mind that some cars, especially Audis, Merc’s and BMW’s need ordering well before the delivery date, yesterday has been planned for months in some cases. Of course it is better than the days when only one registration date was allowed per year, normally in August. car retailers and car lease brokers would do a huge sum of their yearly business in one day a nightmare for many, having 2 registration days has spread out the pressure.
Still not sure what happens next year when the one’s reappear, obviously the rag 51 has gone.

Best Sunday Ever
OK, lets ask a question. Was everyone in the world looking for car lease yesterday?
Well you would think so as we had our record Sunday and second best day ever. This is unusual as most car lease requests come in mid week, obviously from business owners, who need to get Monday out of the way first, before getting down to the task of choosing a new business lease vehicle.
For the same reason we should ask those who ask for prices to be patient today, as the car lease companies have a lot of quotes to go through today, from the weekend and like most business, have the usual Monday things to go through also. There is clearly a build up to the registration in April, we are confident that someone on the Leasebam system can deliver a good deal for most if not all who asked for prices over the weekend.

Must Enter Phone Number
We have made a few adjustments for our car lease suppliers recently through the system but the one that affects the customer most is we have now made adding a phone number compulsary. The reason for this, is that Leasebam is a real people real quote system, where a lot of time is given to give prices, but many people just want ball park figures and so do not enter contact details.
There are many sites out therethat will give ball park figures, but Leasebam prides itself in given up to date quotes, that may only be true today. In short if you are genuine about car lease and want to learn more, you will be ok leaving a phone number, so someone can give you professsional advice, there is no heavy sales from the companies listed here.

Toyota and Their Recalls
The manufacture that is regularly voted as giving the best after sale service and building reliable cars are having tough time of it and it all seems to happening at once. First we had the accelerator pedal problem that is affecting thousands of cars in the UK and millions worldwide. It is believed that these sticking pedals could be dangerous in the wrong situation, but no issues have been reported from UK motorists. Toyota has felt they need to repair and potential issues, just in case which has affected 2 other non Toyota models build in the same factory.
You can read about Toyotas Pedal Recall here
If this was not enough, it is believed there are now issues with the Toyota Prius which affects 8500 cars sold in the UK and is believed to issues with an inconsistent brake pedal. The Toyota Prius is a popular lease car, due to being a hybrid and the costs associated with running this particular model.
The details of the Toyota Prius recall here
You can find more about Toyota Prius Lease here
Or if you are looking for Toyota Prius contract hire
We thought this would be the end, but even their commercial vehicle side, is having issues with their Toyota Tacoma 4 wheel drive trucks which is believed to be issues with the front drive shaft. This normally squeaky clean car maker, has somewhere in the dumps at the moment, but give their due are prepared to come on TV and tell people they will sort out their issues with their cars.

Toyota Recall For Thousands Of Cars In The UK
Normally seen as building some of the most reliable cars in the world and delivering some of the best aftercare within their dealerships, Toyota have had a reverse of fortune lately after admitting there could be a fault in the accelerator pedal in hundreds of thousands of cars in the UK, and millions worldwide. There has been some confusion, as it turns out the news of this planned recall was released before they knew exactly what models and years of vehicles that need recalling.
The lasts news is the models being recalled are
• Toyota Aygo MMT (built between February 2005 and August 2009)
• Toyota iQ (November 2008 - November 2009)
• Toyota Yaris (November 2005 - September 2009)
• Toyota Auris (October 2006 - January 2010)
• Toyota Corolla (October 2006 - December 2009)
• Toyota Verso (February 2009 - January 2010)
• Toyota Avensis (November 2008 - December 2009)
• Toyota RAV4 (November 2005 - November 2009).
Any model older than 2005 is defiantly not affected.
Of couse this effects car lease ownership also and depending your contract you should contact your car lease supplier or wait for a letter directly from Toyota with instructions of what to do. We do know that this will be a quick repair at about 30 minutes at a local Toyota dealership, although who knows how long you will have to wait to get an appointment.
You can ring 0800 138 8744 for more information
Ironically the news is not mentioning that the Citreon C1 and and Peugoet 107 is also affected as they are made in the same factory as some of the Toyotas

Contract Hire with another Bam
After we started with Leasebam we realised that many saw this service as contract hire rather than car lease in fact it is know by this term more in the trade. So we have created another site called ContractHireBam. It is designed for those who see the process of a monthly payment to run a car, rather than an investment, but choose to search for contract hire rather than car lease. the site is pretty much the same as Leasebam and will sen new customers to the Leasebam admin section to get a quite on their chosen vehicles.
