Audi Tops The Car Lease Request Numbers

Filed under: Uncategorized — mark @ 5:36 pm

It is always a good guide to how desirable certain cars are by how many times consumers and business owners ask for prices on car lease through our system. Well once again Audi has toped the charts for January, as it has for most months last year.

Volkswagen was second with Nissan coming third before Mercedes and BMW forth and fifth. The model that was the most requested was the Audi A3, not surprising with the latest engines that have under 99gm co2 and can do up to 74 mpg.

Best Sunday Ever

Filed under: news — mark @ 10:47 am

OK, lets ask a question. Was everyone in the world looking for car lease yesterday?

Well you would think so as we had our record Sunday and second best day ever. This is unusual as most car lease requests come in mid week, obviously from business owners, who need to get Monday out of the way first, before getting down to the task of choosing a new business lease vehicle.

For the same reason we should ask those who ask for prices to be patient today, as the car lease companies have a lot of quotes to go through today, from the weekend and like most business, have the usual Monday things to go through also. There is clearly a build up to the registration in April, we are confident that someone on the Leasebam system can deliver a good deal for most if not all who asked for prices over the weekend.

Must Enter Phone Number

Filed under: news — mark @ 4:38 pm

We have made a few adjustments for our car lease suppliers recently through the system but the one that affects the customer most is we have now made adding a phone number compulsary. The reason for this, is that Leasebam is a real people real quote system, where a lot of time is given to give prices, but many people just want ball park figures and so do not enter contact details.

There are many sites out therethat will give ball park figures, but Leasebam prides itself in given up to date quotes, that may only be true today. In short if you are genuine about car lease and want to learn more, you will be ok leaving a phone number, so someone can give you professsional advice, there is no heavy sales from the companies listed here.

Toyota and Their Recalls

Filed under: news — mark @ 4:54 pm

The manufacture that is regularly voted as giving the best after sale service and building reliable cars are having tough time of it and it all seems to happening at once. First we had the accelerator pedal problem that is affecting thousands of cars in the UK and millions worldwide. It is believed that these sticking pedals could be dangerous in the wrong situation, but no issues have been reported from UK motorists. Toyota has felt they need to repair and potential issues, just in case which has affected 2 other non Toyota models build in the same factory.

You can read about Toyotas Pedal Recall here
If this was not enough, it is believed there are now issues with the Toyota Prius which affects 8500 cars sold in the UK and is believed to issues with an inconsistent brake pedal. The Toyota Prius is a popular lease car, due to being a hybrid and the costs associated with running this particular model.
The details of the Toyota Prius recall here
You can find more about Toyota Prius Lease here
Or if you are looking for Toyota Prius contract hire

We thought this would be the end, but even their commercial vehicle side, is having issues with their Toyota Tacoma 4 wheel drive trucks which is believed to be issues with the front drive shaft.  This normally squeaky clean car maker, has somewhere in the dumps at the moment, but give their due are prepared to come on TV and tell people they will sort out their issues with their cars.

VW Golf NCAP Winner

Filed under: Safety — mark @ 9:16 pm

We were surprised to hear that the VW Golf is Euopes’s best selling car, not because of any bad reputation in fact far from it, but mainly because the scrappage schemes which has been implemented in many countries across Europe has seen a huge rise in sales of cheaper cars. But the VW Golf has something else to celebrate in 2009, in that it has been officially nominated Europe’s safest car by EuroNCAP. The scores which give it a 5 star rating consist of 33 Adult occupant, 37 child occupant and 19 pedestrian.

The is a big Golf range from the Basic S Model, to the BlueMotion models  with amazing fuel and the Golf GT when performance matters. But when safety matters, you know that the VW Golf delivers whatever model you choose to lease or buy.

Audi A3 Frugality

Filed under: Audi Reviews — mark @ 4:35 pm

You would never guess that the manufacturers of executive cars would be leading the way in fuel emmissions, clearly less is more in this ever aware green world, that Audi’s baby the Audi A3 1.6 TDI can now do around 74 miles to the gallon and has a CO2 output of 99%. As we know just about all taxes in the  UK relates to CO2 emmissions, so that meams less road tax, less fuel (so less tax) and if you are a business owner, leasing an Audi 3, then this also means being able to claim more tax back as a business expense, not mentioning the savings in running the car.

There appears almost to be a running battle with german manufacturers who can get their cars running for less, not a bad thing for us consumers. The Audi A3 also has start stop technology, stopping the engine when the car comes to a halt then starting it again when the clutch is depressed, especillay usefull in start stop situations like traffic lights or traffic jams. This frugal modal is out now, but there are other versions of teh Audi A3 with a bit more power in exchange for a bit more CO2 output. These cars are built to the same standard as their larger counterparts, but clearly aimed at a slighty different market, being smaller in size.

OK you might be considering Audi A3 contract hire, so for that purpose here is another review viseo on the subject, however before these new frugal changes were out in place.

Toyota Recall For Thousands Of Cars In The UK

Filed under: news — mark @ 11:43 pm

Normally seen as building some of the most reliable cars in the world and delivering some of the best aftercare within their dealerships, Toyota have had a reverse of fortune lately after admitting there could be a fault in the accelerator pedal in hundreds of thousands of cars in the UK, and millions worldwide. There has been some confusion, as it turns out the news of this planned recall was released before they knew exactly what models and years of vehicles that need recalling.
The lasts news is the models being recalled are

•    Toyota Aygo MMT (built between February 2005 and August 2009)
•    Toyota iQ (November 2008 - November 2009)
•    Toyota Yaris (November 2005 - September 2009)
•    Toyota Auris (October 2006 - January 2010)
•    Toyota Corolla (October 2006 - December 2009)
•    Toyota Verso (February 2009 - January 2010)
•    Toyota Avensis (November 2008 - December 2009)
•    Toyota RAV4 (November 2005 - November 2009).

Any model older than 2005 is defiantly not affected.

Of couse this effects car lease ownership also and depending your contract you should contact your car lease supplier or wait for a letter directly from Toyota with instructions of what to do. We do know that this will be a quick repair at about 30 minutes at a local Toyota dealership, although who knows how long you will have to wait to get an appointment.

You can ring 0800 138 8744 for more information

Ironically the news is not mentioning that the Citreon C1 and and Peugoet 107 is also affected as they are made in the same factory as some of the Toyotas
